"Control" (コントロール, Kontorōru) is the 64th chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
Summary[]
Momoshiki, possessing Boruto's body again, faces Kawaki and Code. Kawaki laments his reemergence, while Code wonders why Momoshiki's consciousness is able to manifest when Boruto is still only a vessel.
Suddenly, Boruto's left eye opens, and his consciousness tells Kawaki to move out of the way, shocking both Kawaki and Code. Boruto charges at Code, creating four Shadow Doppelgangers. Code realizes Boruto has grown stronger when the impact from the Karma-enhanced doppleganger causes his foot to imbed into the ground. Code slashes at a doppelganger and implants a Claw Mark on him, retreating into the mark to gain a distance advantage. He then reaches through the same Claw Mark he emerged from to plunge his fist through another doppelganger. He starts swiping at the other doppelgangers, but one grabs his hand and pulls him back through the Claw Mark. Boruto punches Code hard enough to send him flying but Code scratches the ground and retreats into another Mark yet again.
Code asks Eida to explain why Boruto is so strong. She responds that the medicine he's taking from Amado may be suppressing Momoshiki's control over his body, while still granting him Momoshiki's power. Code is surprised over the mention of medicine.
Meanwhile, Naruto tells Ino and the rest of the Sensory ninja searching for Kawaki to instead search for Boruto. As Kawaki is suppressing his chakra signature, it will be easier to track Boruto as they are likely in the same location. Shikamaru arrives and remarks that Code may also be with them, and may have even killed Kawaki already. Naruto is surprised at Shikamaru's presence, with Shikamaru explaining that he can't let Naruto go on a suicide-mission alone, since he no longer has Kurama's power. Naruto is angered by this, and questions if Shikamaru intends for Naruto to abandon the search. Shikamaru answers that he isn't going to talk Naruto out of it, and is going to accompany him, since Sasuke and Sai aren't available; Naruto relents. Hinata and Himawari come out of the house, and Hinata tells Naruto she's going to save Boruto too. Naruto objects, stating that if both he and Hinata were to die, Himawari would be left parentless. Himawari asks Naruto if everything will be alright. Activating Sage Mode, Naruto tells her it will.
Back at the fight, Boruto attempts to absorb Code's Claw Marks to no avail. Kawaki explains they're made from his chakra, but contain enough iron from Code's blood to be considered physical matter, that is immune to Karma's absorption. Switching topics, Kawaki asks why Momoshiki hasn't taken over his body; Boruto answers that it has never happened before, but could be a side effect of the medicine. Regardless of the medicine, what matters is taking Code down. Code remarks that whatever effect the medicine brings, it won't get rid of Momoshiki and that Boruto is still Ohtsutsuki. Boruto is surprised that Code knows about the medicine. Code continues that it's of no concern to him either way since Boruto's body will still be sacrificed to the Ten Tails. Boruto tells him he won't offer himself up, and Code replies that he'll be back when Boruto's Ohtsutsuki-fication is complete. Until then, he'll be taking Kawaki with him to fulfill his end of the bargain with Eida. Kawaki creates a Shadow Doppelganger that appears behind Code. It tries to punch Code but he catches its fist. Boruto charges at Code with a Rasengan but Code disappears. Code asks why Kawaki is acting up when he agreed to come with him before. Kawaki replies that his intention was always to protect Lord Seventh, and taking him down now may be the better option to achieve that goal. Code tells them it would be better to just obey his commands, and Boruto rebuts that they should just finish this.
Naruto has successfully located Boruto and detected another unrecognizable chakra signature. Shikamaru communicates the information to Ino and tells her to maintain high alert. Naruto and Shikamaru prepare to head out, and Shikamaru asks how long Naruto will be able to sustain his Sage Mode since he isn't able to hold it for long. Naruto tells him not to worry and that he can hold it for longer than before. On the way, Shikamaru tells Naruto not to overdo himself.
Code and Boruto continue to swap blows. Boruto head-butts Code, and while he's stunned, kicks him into a tree. Code places a Claw Mark on the tree and emerges from one behind Boruto. Code hits him, and while in the air, Boruto forms a jutsu and launches it at Code; Code recognizes the jutsu about to hit him as a Vanishing Rasengan. Code places a Claw Mark beneath him and avoids the blow. He says that was a close call, but Eida tells him to stop fooling around. Boruto says they have to go all out now, when his leg suddenly collapses. He starts clutching at his chest, heaving, and falls to the ground as Kawaki calls out his name.
