- In Chapter 48, Isshiki shrinks Sasuke's sword using Sukunahikona and rematerializes it to impale a wounded Sasuke, which prompts Boruto to jump in front of the attack. Isshiki pauses his attack and Boruto throws down a smoke bomb to disappear with Sasuke to safety, revealing Isshiki's hesitation to be because of his plans to use Boruto as food for the Ten Tails seedling. This scene was replaced with Isshiki attempting to use a giant cube to crush Sasuke whole, with Boruto blocking the attack using his High Compression Rasengan, an anime-original jutsu.
